Chronic Wellness
I am a qualified exercise referral instructor, which means that I have undergone additional intensive training to enable me to support you if you have a chronic illness (or a combination of more than one).
I prefer to use the term 'chronic wellness' because this reflects a belief that everyone has the right to be able to access safe, supportive and accurate care when it comes to exercise and fitness. I also have two chronic conditions myself; asthma & anxiety. Living with a chronic condition does not mean living a restricted life when it comes to health and fitness.
There are many benefits to exercise, including physical, social, psychological. Keeping healthy can also help to prevent further conditions from developing.
It is vital for an exercise instructor to understand your unique challenges. Standard personal training courses do not address the specifics of working with chronic conditions. This means that it's really important to seek specialist advice around exercise programming to ensure that you are gaining all of the benefits and crucially not doing any harm.
I can help and support you through a programme of exercise.
I am also a qualified type 2 diabetes prevention coach, and in addition to being an exercise referral instructor, I have qualifications in training older adults, pregnancy, postnatal, perimenopause, menopause, working with trauma from an exercise perspective and mindfulness.
My services combine personal training and health coaching. I work with you In your home, office, or work environment, or outdoors - or a combination of venues. We can also work together remotely.

I also run small group training sessions, workshops for businesses and chair-based workout sessions in residential settings.

I'm a CIMSPA-certified personal trainer with a Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training (Practitioner).
My qualification includes CIMSPA-certified Nutrition to Support Physical Activity, Applied Anatomy and Physiology and Bespoke Exercise Programme Design, Customised Exercise Programme Instruction and Communication Techniques.
I have undertaken additional CIMSPA-accredited CPD in exercise referral, training perimenopausal and menopausal women, pregnant and postnatal women, trauma informed approach to exercise and training older adults.

I am also a certified mindfulness coach, and I being this into my practice, to create a holistic approach to lifestyle fitness and to help you reach your goals.

I am a CIMSPA member (C005483) have Enhanced DBS clearance for working with young people and I am insured by Insure4Sport (Policy Number I4S675188).
